Slow Cooker Gluten Free Chicken Parm Ingredients
1 (26 oz) jar of spaghetti sauce
1.5 to 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
1c shredded mozzarella cheese, more or less to taste
1/2c shredded Parmesan cheese, more or less to taste
Cooked pasta of choice, for serving (optional)
Seasonings of choice (optional)
Directions
In a large (6 qt) slow cooker, pour and spread just enough spaghetti sauce to cover bottom of slow cooker.
Place chicken thighs in an even layer in slow cooker. If you are choosing to add spices, sprinkle over chicken evenly. Pour remaining spaghetti sauce on top. Add mozzarella cheese and follow with parmesan cheese to finish.
Cover slow cooker and cook on low 6 to 7 hours or high 3 to 4 hours, until an instant-read thermometer inserted in chicken thighs reads 180 degrees F.
Once fully cooked, serve over noodles or rice, beside a fresh salad or get creative. The chicken can be shredded too, so the options are endless. I added some garlic salt and extra parmesan cheese to my plate before eating! Enjoy!
